Jazz i-shift problem
« on: December 01, 2018, 05:31:01 PM »
Hello,

My little Jazz with I-shift gear has shown some kind of glitch in recent days consistently.
I start engine every morning and drive but I could not shift gear manually to gear 3 and up. I have to stop and restart engine, sometime work , sometime have to do twice before manually shift to 3 and upwards. At the same time, while struggle to shift to 3, I change to auto and car could drive and shift every gear without any problem .
I wonder why and I love to drive in manual mode rather than semi auto. Anyone has any idea why or have same problem like me before. Any suggestions would be great .

Have a good day to everyone .
Victor

Hi. This sounds rather unusual, error codes would pinpoint the issue and ease the diagnostic/repair.
My service might also be of help if anything else fails:

Thanks, Daniel

I can highly recommend Daniel who fixed my Jazz in February.

I note you car can't change to 4th in manual. May be the engine is cold and not ready to go to that gear as it's ok in A mode?

Yes everyone, thank you very much for kind replies. I am able to drive in auto mode but not in manual . Yes it start to happen when temperatures drops near 4, current is subzero now. Is it possible because of safety features or just glitch?
Awaiting reply from anyone . Much appreciated .

Do you change with flappy paddles or gear stick, i think what ever actuates the gears on the gearbox is the same mechanics as auto or manual on the i-shift, do you have the same problem with gear knob as paddles |?

Yes both paddle and stick behave same problem. I have to drive with auto for few minutes and able to change in manual . Very weird indeed, possible to fix with disconnect battery ? Thanks for reply .
