Want to carry a space saver spare wheel instead of the bottle of 'gunk'. I have a space saver (spare 14" from 04 Jazz) and can fit it in the boot well no problem ~ except ~ with a gap between the wheel and the flimsy boot floor any luggage/shopping makes the floor sag - no wonder when you look at the thickness of the floor (I have stronger print paper). Have tried to get a 'foam' wheel cover that takes up the gap but have been quoted £120+ from a breaker to £160+ for a new Honda part. Have heard that making a plywood false floor under the 'proper' boot floor cover is possibly the best way to go. Anyone had experience of this solution?
