The data at
https://www.tridenthonda.co.uk/posts/2018-01-24-2018-jazz-sport-1-5-litre-i-vtec shows the CVT version of the Jazz Sport to be significantly less thirsty than the manual version presumably due to the CVT being better able to keep the engine running in its most efficient rpm range. I'm surprised that the claimed fuel economy of the CVT Jazz Sport is almost the same as the CVT HR-V as the latter is heavier and, I would have thought, less aerodynamic. Perhaps the Jazz Sport is lower geared which will make the engine a little more responsive but use more fuel.
