  • My Honda: Honda Jazz GD1 2008
I just bought honda jazz GD1 2008 last month Feb 2018.

I want to change CVT transmission oil by myself and I want to replace CVT transmission oil drain plug.

I know honda jazz GD1 2008's engine oil plug is M 14mm * 1.5mm threads. Is honda jazz GD1 2008's CVT transmission oil drain plug also M 14mm * 1.5mm threads? Please help. Thank in advance.

CVT drain plug is M18 - 90081-PX4-003 is the part number for the plug. 90471-PX4-000 for the washer.

...and if your Jazz is 2008, it will probably be a GE3. ;)

There are a few minor differences with the earlier GD1/3/5 models when buying some parts.

It is jazz 2008, GD1, made in Japan. 10 years old, 95000 km, but the engine still looks like new.

At 95,000K (less than 60,000 miles ) the engine only just bedded in,  it will easily do 3 or 4x  that - the bodywork will fail before the engine needs any work.

Ah, I was guessing it was a UK car. Yes, you're absolutely right - 8S in the VIN is manufactured 2008 Suzuka, Mie, Japan.

That's a bit of a rarity in the UK, is it imported from Japan? Any pics for the Gallery section?

It was a Singapore car, imported from Japan by Singapore official honda distributor. Made in Japan had superb quality build. The car interiors such as dashboard, leather... still looks like 90% new even after 10 years. Aircon's seal around car body still new and aircon was superb cool at level 2. I was surprised that I could find such a rarity 10 years old second hand car in  good condition. I hope the car can work for another 10 years with proper maintenance.

That explains it. There are a few members on here with imports, but not many.

It sounds like it's been looked after. I have no doubt that you would get another ten years out of it. As culzean says, the drive train is bomb proof with proper servicing and will last the car out. The only thing I have seen with imports is the lack of underbody rust protection, but that can be easily dealt with, if it hasn't already - a small investment in Waxoyl, or better still Dinitrol underbody & cavity wax will see to that.

Ours is our first Honda, and even on my Chinese built Jazz, the build quality is excellent. It was only purchased as a cheap stop gap, but the other half loves it and it now has over 150,000 miles on it - but you would never guess, they are so well made.
