Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - 2020 / Re: Carb flooded.

If I ever need to do a very short move with a cold engine then I let the engine run for about a minute before switching it off to give the initial excess fuel time to clear.

I did this yesterday on both sides. Removal was not difficult except splitting the ball joint; always a bit of violence needed.

Putting back was more of a pain, since the suspension resists going in to place. I accidentally popped the drive shaft CV joint on the passenger side and it took me a while to realise that, as well as put it all back in place.

I recommend putting some clamps on the strut springs in a compressed state before removing the old wishbone. Use a jack under the old wishbone to raise the wheel hub and compress the spring, install the clamps, release the jack, then remove the wishbone. This will make it easier to get things back in place.

Can anybody help me with the OE part number for the (manual) gearbox mount for my 2012 Jazz? GG5 chassis code, L12B1 engine code.

It looks like this one:

Have a 2004 Honda Jazz and the radio doesn’t work although it would occasionally tune to a station it would cut out after a few minutes.

Want to get something with Bluetooth and apple carplay.

Was thinking of picking up a fitting for the stereo like this one:

Going to Halfords buy the unit and getting it fitted? Would it be doable?

I'm not sure where you are getting your information from. As a Toyota owner, with an 8 year old car, 7 years with me, this warranty just works. There is no mention of a third party and there is no option to get a cheaper service without the warranty extension.

That photo does look good. I think your first port of call would need to be your Honda dealer as any alteration would probably affect your warranty and insurance i suspect, but good luck.

Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Jazz Crosstar, raise suspension?
« Last post by hazeyjane on Today at 03:34:49 PM »
Hi all,

Im about to get a new Jazz Crosstar soon. And the only thing im not super exited about is the ground clearance. Do you think there is a way to mod the car with a raised suspension or something similar?

I saw this Honda concept of the Crosstar, not sure if it's even raised there, but it could be an even more amazing car if it was higher IMO. What do you think? Is it possible even?

The Toyota 10 year warranty is not free but paid on top of the service charge.

There is no extra charge for the Toyota warranty extension. So long as you get the car serviced at the appropriate time, another year gets added on. Not sure what you mean by 'paid on top of the service charge'.

The Toyota manufacturer warranty is 3 years. The extended 7 year warranty offered , if  it is serviced at a Toyota garage is provided by an independent insurance company and not as good as the 3 year. The annual cost of this insurance is factored into the service cost, plus if you need to have repair work done that is not covered, you will pay full main dealer prices. A service costs less without the extended warranty cost, for example over 10 years old,   by negotiation.
The point I am trying to make is that Toyota /Lexus are like Honda or anybody else , only as good as the dealers. I have a lot of experience with both, and a visit to their forums will confirm.
