Loose radio connection?
« on: May 07, 2019, 09:46:15 AM »
Hello everyone,

Anyone in an 2018 have issues with the radio losing signal to the speakers?

2018 Honda Fit Sport with Apple Car Play and Navigation head unit is having issues with losing signal from the speakers.

Seems to happen when I hit a bump, even a small one. It’ll loose connection but the head unit still displays the radio station or Bluetooth steaming information.

All connections are fine in the door but wanted to see if anyone had similar issues?

I had 2 jbl powered sub/amp combos installed with an LOC to the rear speakers but the dealer thinks they are causing too much resistance. So I disconnected the taps and the issue still remains.

Maybe a loose connection behind the head unit?

Thank you!

Sounds to me that it could be a loose connection at the back of the head unit. If there has been installation work done the plugs may be getting pulled due to tight or poorly routed cabling.
