Hello, joined today as it seems the Jazz CVT is the car I need for my twilight years  :'( - according to my middle aged daughters.

Anyway I have posted my queries on the 2008 onwards forum.

If there are any enthusiasts in the Humber area who can point out a local car to meet my needs I will be pleased to discuss over a pint - either side of the bridge! TIA

Can't help you on the specifics but this reminds me of a conversation I had with a pal last year. We had both bought new (to us) cars and were speculating if we would need another one before we either fell off our perches or the Doctor took our licences away for a medical problem.

We were in a morbid mood that day!

I'd get winter tyres on that Jocko. The stopping distance on this slicks could be as much as three feet!

Well, very much the responses I expected !

Thank you all for your kind welcome, looks like I am in good company. When I moved last year I worked out I would need to be in mobility scooter range of the doctor/pharmacy/dentist and pub.  They are all about 200 yards away, but I still need some proper wheels to travel to see my family to receive their latest ageist advice. I signed-up on the allotment waiting list too.
