Brainwashed by technology
« on: March 02, 2019, 03:33:33 PM »
One night this week I noticed that the instrument panel was brighter than usual, and I couldn't remember how to adjust it.  Assuming it would be via a screen like everything else, I scrolled through the menus for both screens without success, so I resorted to the manual.  This reminded me that there is a prominent old-fashioned twiddleable knob to the upper right of the speedometer.   If only all the adjustments were so easy!  My feeble excuse is that it was dark when the problem arose......

I use quite a bit of software for various things (Photoshop and the like), and things I do regularly are no problem, but things I do very seldom I have to look up. Our brains are constantly overloaded (well mine is).
Like the fact the new Honda EV has a load of twiddly knobs!
