Oil Warning Message
« on: July 10, 2022, 06:36:17 PM »
I'm getting an oil warning message from my 09 Jazz despite the dipstick showing the oil level as full.  I gave it a slight top up but the warning came back:

I could understand if the engine was being starved of oil but there is plenty.  The book which came with the car says that this warning is an 'Oil Level Indication' based on information from the Oil Level Sensor.  I'm guessing the sensor is faulty as I have oil in the car.  Does that sound right?

Has anyone ever changed one of these sensors.  I'm guessing it's going to be bolted onto the oil pan as that's the most logical place for it.  Any help would be useful.

Thanks
