Selling Honda Jazz 2006 with CVT judder
« on: August 18, 2022, 10:51:02 AM »
Hi, I have had my Honda Jazz for 4 years and it was my mums before me. The time has come to change the car. I want to put it up for sale but it has a CVT judder at times, which I have actually got used to, the car drives well and is really reliable. I want to sell the car honestly without putting people off, but haven't sold a car before so would appreciate any advice. Thanks  :)

trade it in, then you dont have any comeback as it is the dealers problem

Welcome to the Forum.

Honesty is the best policy, so declaring the fault will give you peace of mind.

Take time to clean the car, and get all your paperwork ready is the first step.

Gumtree will let you advertise for free. Don't waste money on the premium listing they offer. To keep your listing near the top, cancel it once a week and relist for free! Nice set of clear photos and a well worded add and you're off. Check Autotrader/ebay etc to see what others are selling for to give you an idea of price point.

A4 For Sale sign in the window and park it somewhere fairly busy works too.

Forum has a for sale section.

Good luck with your sale.

I have heard of others with CVT judder in the Mk 1 Jazz. I think this may be related to missing oil changes in the CVT system. Current advice is to change the oil every two years. There is quite a lot about this in the Mk1 section of the forum.
