Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Screw in Tyre - Difficult Tyre Size
« Last post by ninanina on Today at 03:05:35 PM »
Driving today I got the tyre pressure warning light up on the drivers display

I pulled into a service station thinking I’ll just top the tyres up but unfortunately found a screw stuck in passengers front tyre. Right on the edge

I drove to a tyre shop but they said it’s not reparable as it’s on the edge of the tyre

Well now the fun bit…. It seems impossible to get hold of the exact tyre;  Yokohama Bluearth A 185,55,16 87H.  I tried every local tyre shop and then online but no luck

As a last resort I contacted my local Honda service centre and believe it or not they can get hold of the tyre for me, hopefully by tomorrow morning

I’ve ordered two new ones to go on the front as apparently if you have mismatched tyres per axle the warning system doesn’t work reliably

Ouch.. I’ve only had the car a week!

The only good thing to come out of this is that I know the tyre pressure warning system definitely works well

Anyone know what this squeaking/creaking noise is? Happens when the clutch pedal is at the biting point, 2010 manual Honda Jazz with 93k miles.

Here is a vid of the noise (I cut some sounds and joined them together):

Honda Jazz Mk1 2002-2008 / Re: Help to depin mirror switch connector
« Last post by mozacraa on Today at 11:33:17 AM »
Hello! the wires on my mirror's connectors are different colours, and the connectors it self are diferent. It seems the white connector is for the mirror with mirror heating (to separate black cables), and the other one is just for motoring the mirror. I'm tnking of gutting the wires and soldering them again, but con't seem to finda a way to know the correspondent ones. Any help?

It had a showing of petrol pump and  showing how many miles to  go before top up.
I have tried and tried to revert back to this  without successs  can some kind person point me in the right direction please.

Oops sorry my car is the Mk3 cvt EX

I don't think you actually need to go into the 'Customise settings' menu.  The display you describe is actually the 'Range' setting which should be one of the displays you cycle through as you press Up/Down buttons.

My "How to" comment was assuming that Tamsiin had gone into the Customize Settings menu, and couldn't find the way back. If not, then as you say, the range display is simply one of the screens that should appear as you cycle through the options.

I think the higher pressure when heavily loaded or driving fast means its also an acceptable pressure  at other times. If you are willing to compromise on ride etc.

Even if you sometimes exceed 160 kph, you will be slower  most of the time.    Also the loading is just an approximation. To use a Japanese analogy,  3 Sumo wrestlers probably weight more than 5 Geisha .

But it doesnt necessarily justify running  pressure lower  than 35/33 psi  in  the hope of an improved ride, etc , or just because it sounds too high compared to pressures recommended in the past.

Earlier this week I had a rental Volvo with all HVAC controls on display. Once again it was really awckward to use while driving in dark urban roads in an unknown town. In practice the task to adjust heating had to be given to a co-driver.

The message icon are shown in the Instrument panel section of the Owners manual, Pages 105 to 136, this is an example page attached.

Thank you, I have seen these.

However, the occasional pop-ups I was writing about aren't included.
Like the e.g. the scroll wheel popping up to temporarily silence the proximity alert. I couldn't find a list of these anywhere.

And no: Unfortunately the pop-ups seem to be undocumented - I have yet to find a listing of all the possible pop-ups in the manual / on the web.

Hi all. I am new to my 2021 hybrid and a couple of times an icon pops up that I can't find in the manual. Is there a website that gives all the icons, not just the more common ones? And I find the manual less than user friendly though I do consult it when required.

Might it be that it isn't one of the normal built in warning lights (in white/green/amber/red) but an occasional pop-up in black and white?

If so: Please check in the "Customizable features" of the driver information display if the setting for the "Warning message" is still in it's default "off" setting and turn it to "on".
(to get there in a MY21 Jazz you have to press the Home button - select the "Settings" screen - go to "Meter Setup" - "Warning Message")

This won't hinder the pop-ups from appearing but it will add a helpful text message to the pop-up explaining what it's meant for.
