I had Jazz's annual service done today. I asked them to service the air-conditioning as well, because after the winter the cooling felt even less effective than it normally has been. It appeared that in six and half years from the date of manufacturing the system has lost two thirds of the refridgerant. It's quite natural, but I assume it makes a difference.

It must be some micro leak for six years or it has started recently. On my Zafira I have to refill every two years, they can't locate the leak as it is very small....

Why do you think it has to be a leak? Different refridgerant hose materials have different leakage rates, and some materials are such that it would leake much more in six years.

On my Zafira refrigant is 134A which needs topping up maybe every 5 years, my Jazz have some newer refrigant, not sure which one.
All recent cars (last 20 years) should have hose leakege less than 2% per year which means my Zafira is probably leaking very slowly
