The car finance issue has been bubbling away for some time. The industry had lots of time to get it's house in order to stop this happening, but chose not to. I think it'll be resolved very soon.

Car Care & Detailing / Re: Car interior cleaning

I bought a Wickes wet and dry a few years ago for £45. It's a fantastic device, a budget Henry I guess.

Product wise, I use Carplan Demon range. You can often find them for c£5 litre on sale at B&M etc and they last for ages so fantastic value. The Multi Purpose Cleaner is good stuff, but I never use it on the dash top as shine is the last thing it needs.

I know the thread is about interior, however, I recently tried some of this for wheels, I would rate it 10/10. Expensive per L compared to Demon, but more effective if you've been lax with cleaning and the wheels have a build up of brake dust and grime that needs shifting.

an ugly little thing.
;D ;D Challenging some say. Brave design, but didn't catch on. They sold quite well back in the day though.

Welcome to the forum.  :D

Not seen an FRV in a while with the 3+3 seating. Didn't the Fiat Multipla have that arrangement too? You chose the better option with the Honda!  ;D

Thanks for the welcome! Yes, the Fiat Multipla had the same 3+3 seating arrangement as the FRV but it was an ugly little thing. The FRV tried to look like a normal car plus there was the usual Honda reliability.

Honda Jazz Mk1 2002-2008 / Re: Handbrake problem solved?
« Last post by olduser1 on Today at 03:21:02 AM »
Helpful write up , the key issue do not attempt h/brake adjustment without first releasing the cable bolt inside the  vehicle . I use a long reach socket jack the car on both sides at rear. Check the progress as you operate . It goes better if you know the rear brake system is operating freely no sticking slide bolts not rust on the pads etc.

Yes, the Corolla (Hatchback) is bigger than the Jazz. About 28 cm. longer and about 6.5 cm. wider. The wheelbase is also 12 cm. more.
Then you would also expect more interior space, but....
Unfortunately, there is no more interior space, apart from a somewhat larger boot.
People also often think that Toyota hybrids are (a bit) more economical than the Honda Jazz. In case of the Yaris (NOT the Yaris Cross!) this is true, but for the Corolla, even the most economical, the 1.8 hatchback, this is not the case in everyday life. Here is the Jazz winner by a small margin, according to Spritmonitor:

Corolla: https://www.spritmonitor.de/de/uebersicht/49-Toyota/1734-Corolla_Hybrid.html?fueltype=2&constyear_s=2019&constyear_e=2024&power_s=120&power_e=142&minkm=10000&gearing=3&exactmodel=HB&powerunit=2

Jazz: https://www.spritmonitor.de/de/uebersicht/18-Honda/1293-Jazz_Hybrid.html?vehicletype=1&constyear_s=2019&constyear_e=2024&power_s=75&power_e=91&minkm=10000&gearing=3

In short, I think JB's pal (or his grandson ) made a good choice

I used a couple of Philips Xtreme vision pro150, brighter than the OEM Osrams.

Thanks for sharing. From your experience how long did the bulbs last?
Each set lasted more than one year, but I live in Italy, with more hours of light than northern countries.

I've owned a Toyota Corolla Hybrid for three months. I can't comment about the M4 Jazz as I have only sat inside one. The Corolla is of course one size up from the Jazz, with all the pros and cons that brings. On that basis I would think the Corolla would ride better and feel more refined.

The biggest gripe is the interior storage, for which my old Mk1 Jazz was better in that respect. The boot and rear space is small by class standards but that is less of a concern for me. The Jazz was never an option for me, partly because dealers were asking the same if not more for newly new examples. My shortlisted cars were the Mazda3, Kia Proceed/Xceed and Corolla. The Civic by the way was too expensive.
