Title: Where to find Honda proprietary connectors
Post by: TnTkr on February 14, 2021, 06:02:42 PM
I would need connectors for the boot light used in various Honda models including Jazz and for the clock used in 80's Honda Accord. Both seen in pictures below. I would be pleased to hear suggestions where I could find these connectors, preferably with some wires already in the connector. Breakers yards are not serving very well for this kind of needs.

I had a look on Ebay uk for you, and there are several Jazz boot lights listed.

Accord lights are listed, but from the 90's.

You could try forums for that age of car?

I have the light and the clock, but I'm missing connector for plugging the power supply in a proper way. In my application there is neither wire harness nor connector waiting for either.

The boot lights I am going to install additional ones into my Jazz. And the old Accord clock I'm mounting to another vehicle.

I recall reading someone telling there was a source for Jazz accessory connector, and therefore I was hoping there would be a source for these connectors too. I just couldn't invent the right search words to find that thread.

There are a number of places like Simtek that supply connectors, but availability is by no means extensive, and the obscure ones tend to be expensive or unobtainable.

https://www.simtekuk.co.uk/index.php/automotive_connectors/?k=:8::

I think Honda can order certain repair sections for looms with the connectors attached, but they are very expensive indeed.

The best option I've found in the past is a friendly scrapyard who will allow you to take off what you need before they scrap the shell and strip the loom out for the cable pile. Some scrapyards leave plugs attached to components and clip the wires.

Thank you. It seems I found a source from ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/honda-civic-fit-pilot-connector-light-license-trunk-34101s5aa01-oem-a222-/132789364715 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/honda-civic-fit-pilot-connector-light-license-trunk-34101s5aa01-oem-a222-/132789364715)

Price for needed three connectors is something, but shipping to Finland is making it double and then 24% VAT.  :o
