hi if any one can help the first the battery went flat so jumped it this morning went for a drive came home the system check icon with gear around it just came on when i put the car in to reverse and cut out now the car will not start have no idea
getting fed up with honda jazz

Give the battery a good charge (with an external battery charger) to get it back to 12.6v or thereabouts. This may take overnight to achieve.

Then try again.

oh not changed that must of forgot had the 2007 the cat got stolen so the insurance paid so i got this 2010 not having luck with honda jazz at the moment in the matter of 7mouths

any body now of a good code reader that would read gearbox faults

IIRC it will clear after the battery is fully charged and you have driven a few minutes.

I seem to remember there's also a trick with the trip counter button, holding it down for a certain number of seconds whilst the ignition key is in a certain position.

Hi,
Page 281 of the hand book states "When the "D" indicator warns of a possible problem with the transmission you will see that symbol or the symbol with a CHECK SYSTEM message"

"If the malfunction indicator lamp comes on along with the "D" indicator there is a problem with the automatic transmission control system. Avoid rapid acceleration and have the transmission checked as soon as possible>
