Title: Chassis noise, help!
Post by: Sharon on May 24, 2020, 05:25:42 PM
Hi all, I've started noticing a noise coming from my chassis. With hindsight, I'm pretty sure it's been there a long time but it's frequency has increased enough recently to raise my concerns. When driving on smooth road, theres no noise, but a bumpy, rougher road produces the clunky noiser as heard in this MP3 clip. Any pointers please?

What are they? Expensive to rectify?

They are the short vertical links in the centre of the photo. They link the anti-roll bar to the wishbone.
I bought two for £23.45 (2016) but then you have the fitting. Not a big job.

ok thank you all for your help. At least I will be armed with something before the 'sucking through the teeth' starts at the garage!  :-)

I'll go with the droplinks. Mine sounded just like that. It was more noticable on concrete road surfaces.
