Hey guys!
I've recently purchased my first Honda car here in the UK (a 2011 Jazz EX Mk2), and I noticed that it came with Bluetooth connectivity at least for voice/calls - it even connected fine to my Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro. The thing is that it's seen as a Call device only in the bluetooth settings of my phone, with no Media support (apparently).
Does anyone know how the HFT thing works? Or does anyone know how to get the car to play my phone's music? There is a USB port near the lighter power socket thing, and the stereo does allow me to select USB as a source, but I haven't tried connecting the phone that way (had no USB cable handy at the time).
If bluetooth music support is indeed not a thing this car can do, what does everyone else recommend to get "full" bluetooth connectivty?
Thanks!

Can't help you on Bluetooth, sorry. Not a feature I've ever used in a car. :)
I can tell you though that Honda have an unusual USB socket, and you will need an adapter such as this:

You can buy them more localy, but that is the one I went for.

Nice, thank you!
If you plug a regular USB to that USB/adaptor thing, does will it play the music from the phone? Have you tried that?

That model of Jazz does not do music through the Bluetooth link, it is definitely just for phone calls.
If you plug your phone into the USB adaptor thing, at least with an iPhone, it works for music.
For Bluetooth from your phone, you should get one of the adaptors from Amazon that cost around a tenner and plug that into a 12v socket.

Awesome, thanks for the info. Cheers!

I stick my Sony Walkman into the USB adaptor, and it works. The steering wheel controls even let me change album. 8) Very handy.
