Greetings!
« on: February 28, 2018, 12:41:33 PM »
Hey All,

I’ve stalked here briefly as both my mother and mother-in law both have honda Jazzs!

I’ve always been a Honda guy, and have just recently started having to do a nightmare commute if 150miles a day.

It was an easy decision having seen and driven my mothers, so I now own an 09 1.4.

Great car, and so far it’s been a joy for the commute.

Ultimately I decided on this car as a base as I’m using the car as a Hypermiler (google it if you’re not sure!)
So far I’ve increased the pressure of my tyres, and removed some weight (rear seats and some other bits.) the best I’ve managed so far is 60mpg although this hasn’t been in the best of weather! I’m aiming higher so there’ll be more changes to go yet!

Nice to meet you all!

Welcome. I too try mild hypermiling. My best tankful so far has been 64 mpg (but that is without removing the seats). I keep my tyres at 35 psig.

Wow thats really good, what model Jazz do you have?

I had to compromise with an Ex as it has the heavy glass roof and 16” alloys which are too large.
I’d have liked the ES but couldn’t find one with cruise control and an arm rest! 😂
