Title: On Board Diagnostic Reader
Post by: Den Jerus on May 04, 2020, 10:34:37 AM
Morning all.
After hearing horror stories of people having to take their car to the garage to discover the system warning light was a petrol filler cap that wasn't closed properly, and being charged lots of money for the previlege, I thought it might be an Idea to invest in a £20 ish OBD II reader. (from Amazon as it happens)
My question is 2 fold.
1 Was it worth it?
2 Where is the OBD connector on my jazz Mk3 EX?
It would be handy to hear if anyone else has had success with one of these things

I bought one of these three years ago, but thankfully I have not had to use it in earnest.

It plugs in, just to the left of the steering column, and below the dashboard/shelve.

Be aware these are not suitable for VSA or ABS codes but are ideal for generic engine related codes.
