Hello, I am a new member with a July 2016 Jazz EX navi manual.

It is a great car. I understand this was built in Swindon please could someone confirm this is correct?

The first 3 characters of the VIN number will tell you. 
Character 11 indicates the assembly plant; U = Swindon, S = Suzuka.

SHH = Honda of the UK Mfg., Ltd. / Honda / Passenger car, built in United Kingdom
JHM = Honda Motor Co., Ltd. / ­ Honda / Passenger car, built in Japan
3HG = Honda de México S.A. de C.V. /­ Honda / Passenger car, built in USA/Canada/Mexico

Swindon is now an exclusive Civic 5d hatchback and engine facility.

Have checked the VIN number.
The first three letters are JHM which confirms it was built in Japan.
The eleventh letter is X.

X is not on my list but https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Honda_assembly_plants  lists Honda Yorii Factory / Yorii, Saitama / Japan / Opened 2013 without a code letter as an exclusive Fit plant,  plus [C] Honda Sayama Factory / Sayama, Saitama / Japan / Opened 1964 as a mixed plant.
