Just an observation, the brakes on the 62 plate Jazz ES I had as a courtsey car today were very grabby next to my 2007 Jazz!

My 11 plate brakes are superb, better in fact than most sports cars, we have owned Mazda MX5's and Merc SLK's at the same time as the Jazz and their brakes are far less powerful.

I recently drove my dad's new 63plate ES CVT and was too surprised how well it braked

Coming to the end of the street from my estate, I nearly hit the windscreen when I touched the brakes lol

You just adapt and get use to them really

Agree with previous posters

The brakes on my "new" 2008 Jazz EX are excellent & suit the car very well, not at all "sharp" but very reassuring feel & response.
