Replacing the front seats
« on: June 16, 2012, 10:30:15 AM »
I have a 2010 Ex which is great but how easy is it to replace the front seats as I find them uncomfortable. Which other Honda seats would fit and who would I ask to do this job (Reading area) ?

Any tips much appreciated

John

Further to my answer (in the other thread) I would also suggest trying to find somehwere
where you can sit in and try seats out.

I did and it solved the problem, just cost me 2 cable ties   :) :)

Otherwise, you can try Civic seats.  But the link above is a good one

A vehicle upholstery/trimming specialist might be able to reshape your existing seats for you?

Thanks Alan.
I have a bad back and find most new car seats uncomfortable/painful. I had long test drives in a Jazz ES, found it OK 'ish, and bought one.
My first drive of about an hour resulted in back problems-something in the seat was pressing on my spine, which I hadn't experienced in the the test car.Obviously , this almost became a disaster- brand new car , but unable to drive.
Luckily I found this post and modified my seat with the cable ties, could instantly feel a difference, and so far  the fix seems to be working.
It's amazing what you can learn from these forums !
