Warning chimes!!!
«

I am getting very tired of the chimes when I don't belt up, leave lights on, leave keys in ignition etc etc. Have managed to get through 50 years of driving without needing all these 'Nanny' reminders. Any way of disabling these?

This does drive me mad!!
NOT RECOMMENDED- but if you look under you seat- (in the GE Jazz) there is a white and yellow plug- if you unplug the yellow one- that is the seat belt plug so the chime wont come on if you dont have your seatbelt on

Thanks Garyman - the seat belt chime is, for me, the least irritating.
There must be a software 'switch' in the On-Board Firmware to deal with silencing the chimes - I hope this is advised before I end up trashing something
Playing about with connections or disabling sensors is not the way to go - sensor awareness is crucial for the likes of air-bag deployment etc etc. All that is needed is to be able to 'switch' off the acoustic end of the process.
