CVT rev up & down on its own
« on: October 27, 2011, 04:45:48 PM »
hi all my 2005 CVT started a strange problem two weeks ago, the rev going up and then suddenly drops down then up and down again in this cycle, as if it’s accelerating and changing gear. This happens with a steady foot on the gas pedal, and regardless of whether I’m in auto D mode or CVT 7 speed mode. It worries me even more when I put it in 7 speed mode as I can see the speed and the gear is not changing while the car itself is still doing that, the faster I go the more I can feel it, and the fact that I can feel this really badly inside the car makes it almost un-driveable! This is not something I’d expect from a 6 years old Honda!

Anyone had a similar issue before? after some research on the forum am I right in thinking that its a transmission oil problem? and i need to change it CVT-F?

Many thanks guys
