Which do you use the most , is there any problem using B all the time, I tend to use B only going down hill.

I use B locally , but you cannot engage cruise control, so I then have to engage D. On long distances I tend to use D, but I doubt there is any harm using either, for whatever driving choice you make.

This topic has been discussed many times if you look for it.

Me to, why would you wear your brakes out, when you don’t need to.
Much better to charge your HV battery and save fuel.

I always use D - very little wear on the brake discs after 33,000 miles and no visible brake dust ever ! It’s my understanding that the mechanical brakes operate only at low speeds -most braking accommodated with regenerative battery charging ? D seems more natural as you have an element of “free wheeling “ compared to B?

Good to see you posting again plasma!

I (generally) use B for mooching about town, and up to about 40mph. I love this one pedal driving, and consider myself a failure, if I don’t read the traffic, and have to use the brakes! The rest is D.

Though I do miss having those shiny brake discs, that most cars display!

I wish there was another level of competence at the end of a journey on the fruit machine…think 5 cherries 🍒

Using B, how do you not use the brakes, the car still creeps forward until you apply the brakes.  Also tailgaters must hate you. I drive everywhere in B and I use the brakes too.

I've tried both but now use D (apart from going down steep hills), very little difference in fuel economy and it's good for the brakes to be used occasionally, helps stop corrosion on the disks.

I use B the vast majority of the time. One feauture of the E I would like to see in the Jazz is that in brake hold mode (same as the Jazz) you have a little picture of the back of the car in the dash which shows when the brake lights come on. It is very clever and depends on your speed and deceleration, mostly coming on most of the time but not for gentle slow downs. I find that useful if you have tailgaters and want to be sure to give them a signal in the event of a big slow down ahead.

That is shown on Jazz if you uses the "Simple" mode of the dash and have driver assist turned on. Thou in Jazz only by pressing the brake pedal will the brake lights come on. the re-generation is not strong enough to create enough deceleration for the brake light to come on.

Yes, on the E you can see the lights coming on for large decels and brake hold.
