2012 dome light

The bulb in the light in the middle of the roof some times called dome light, stopped working so I took it out to find it had blown, no probs i thought buy one and replace it, here lies the problem it is a 12vlt 8watt capless type and for the life of me I cannot source one. i can find with no probs a 12vlt 5 watt type which i fitted but it is so dim would much prefere the 8watt type.
Has anyone been able to find them and please direct me to the supplyer please.

not sure if these are the correct LED replacements but have a look at the picture, the tip to tip measurement is 31mm. I have 4, your are welcome to them if they fit.



They come in 4 sizes between 31&41mm, this eBay seller has all 4 sizes available for less than a fiver for 10.

Ah I see T10, I have those in the Mk3, £7 for 10 on eBay Auxito LED, excellent light and draw almost no power.

Are you looking at the LED versions? At 5 watt they would be like a street lamp?
Are you sure you are not just looking at the bulb type identifier as they are known as W5W which does not mean 5 watts with the LED, the wattage is irrelevant, they are probably about 0.5w or even less.

I have these in all my interior lights and they are excellent, white and bright but not overpoweringly so.
