ebay parts search
« on: February 05, 2014, 05:29:01 AM »
Not sure whether this one has been covered previously... apologies if it has.
I have a 54 plate GD 1337cc, registered january. When i search for parts on ebay, the options I get are
GD 2002-2004
MKII (whatever that is) 2005-2008
If I opt for the latter, it gives me 1.2 and 1.7 (!) engine sizes.

Am I right to presume I own the former for ebay purposes? Or is it more likely a listing cock up?
Having looked under the bonnet at the VIN plate, there is a reference to NZ. Do I therefore have a kiwi car?
I'm not worried as it was bought new from a Honda UK dealer, so it's obviously a legit car, but I'm concerned at being caught out getting the wrong bits should I get round to ordering anything.

Anyone else come across this?

If you have the facelift model, changed lights and bumpers with the little fins, then e-bay 2005-2008. At least that works for my 2005 model. I have seen the listings on e-bay you are taking about, there is no 1.7 so I ignore these and use part numbers. Eurocar parts is a good source for these, and sometimes as cheap as other e-bayers.

I think that all genuine European Jazz of that age would be Japanese made. This table decodes your VIN:

The VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is a combination of the following fields:

AAA BBB C D E F G HHHHHH
