Fuel Flow cc/min
« on: July 27, 2022, 10:18:02 PM »
What should the Fuel Flow (in cc/min) be at idle? My OBD readings show 10.6, and I've read where this should be 30-60  cc/min. I just ran a tankful of BG 44k injector cleaner, and although the car is perky and idles fine, my fuel economy is quite poor (i.e. 10.5 l/100km). O2B1S1 Lambda is 1.02, and I believe this should be spot on 1.0.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Have you done all the basics first? Full check of car, tyre pressures, brakes binding? Oil and filter change, change air filter - maybe fuel filter but not normally needed. Change or at least check the plugs. Check intake and throttle body, check exhaust and cat ok. Check egr valve etc.
Injectors can gum up so it’s certainly something to think about but only after the above.
