I guess you are asking a question, yes?  ;)

A have a friend who used AutoSock "Snow Socks" on their Civic EP3 last winter. They perform very well in the snow, but should be taken off immediately once you start driving on clear roads.
Snow socks are made from a strong fabric that provides excellent traction in the snow, but you must not use them on tarmac as they will wear out fast.

Snow socks work.........

True Story ....... A car on the flat could not even move forward to roll onto the snow socks to fit them. It had to be pushed with another vehicle.

Once fitted with the snow socks the car drove up a 1:6 snow covered slope.

However I have winter tyres on my Jazz and I was able to stop and then get going on a 1:6 hill with no problem.
