Type R
« on: February 25, 2019, 09:14:42 AM »
I have a loan of my husbands Type R this week and so far I am not enjoying the experience. So far I have only driven into Edinburgh city centre in the Monday morning rush hour. It wasn't the smoothest of journeys.

Not the best time to be trying out a new sporty car!

It is a well known fact that Honda type R do not like slow traffic ?  They have a yearning for the open road :)

No thanks. I tried a CVT before buying the manual Sport. I am afraid I didn't like the CVT gearbox.
The Civic was not such a handful on the way home this evening. I used the B9157 instead of the A92 dual carriageway, and it was more fun.

Try coming off at Cowdenbeath and taking the Auchtertool road. That is a great driving road.

Hate that road. An ex boyfriend once put us in a field on our way to Dunfermline. Luckily only the car and pride was hurt.

Easily done. Some have not been so lucky.

Really no surprise you didn't have the best of times with Type R during the rush hour. Not that car's forte. It's not terrible though.

Spotted Jeangenie's hubbie's Type R today. Looking great. Obviously just back from the car wash. The red wheels set it off superbly.
