Jazz steering column lower shaft replacement

Hello,

Has anybody replaced the lower shaft on their steering column? Is it a pain in the bum?

I'm getting a knocking at a certain point in the steering rotation and on closer inspection, the U-joint at the bottom has some play in it, causing a knock when the joint is at a certain angle...
