The Option Connector is designed for accessories like dash cams

On my install, the only wiring visible is from the headlining down to the dashcam, about 3 inches. All the remaining wire is hidden

Ignore the SatNav in the link, that's long gone

TBH, it's all plain sailing

The option connector, once you've managed to get one, just plugs in and for the Jazz has 4 wires

I can't remember all of them but the one I wanted was the one that powers on and off with the main power. ACC mode doesn't trigger it

I had option connectors with my 8G and 9G Civics so I was aware of what they did

As many will say though, not for everyone
Let's be careful out there !

I used option connectors on two of the Civics because they were easily available courtesy of the forum members, but on the Jazz with 4 USBs available there is no point to the 12V socket so just used that. I installed just like Nicksey's pics, virtually no wires visible, even for the rear camera, my 12V adapter just has a side cable exit on the passenger side tucked away, and a pass through USB power at the rear, so now three USBs at the front.

Thats exactly how I installed my dashcam

Things I could do without? Almost ever "extra" included in modern cars, specifically (but not limited to):-
Privacy glass (makes the rear view very dim)
Heated seats/wheel
Most "driver aids" especially lane departure warning and the like. If you NEED aids like this then you should consider if you are concentrating enough on your driving.
Pseudo buttons (impossible to use without taking your eyes off of the road)
Mobile phone integration (again, you should be driving not holding a potentially stressful conversation)

I could go on, but I'll shut up before you realise what an old fart I really am.

...I won't insult you or your ideology so, no comment.
