Alloy wheels for Jazz EX Hybrid, not the Crosstar.
« on: February 25, 2021, 07:39:27 PM »
Hi

Has anyone upgraded the standard alloy wheels for there Jazz Ex Hybrid?

If I use the configure section on www.honda.co.uk, select the EX version, then click on accessories, 1 set of alloy wheels can be selected at £220.00, there is no option to select 4 alloy wheels, so I assume £220.00 is for a set of 4?

My one and only Honda dealer has just quoted me £220.00 each, so £880.00 for 4!

We don’t have VAT here in Jersey, but something called GST which is 5% added to the retail price.

Please could someone (if anyone) tell me what they paid for a set of 4 for there Ex?

Thanks

£220 for four alloys would be a bargain! This supplier https://www.coxmotorparts.co.uk/honda/honda-jazz/honda-jazz-alloy-wheels/ doesn't list alloys for the new Jazz but you can see the typical prices.

Hmm, interesting, but still very high cost.

Please see attached from a third party supplier, about £525.00 delivered Jersey + fitting.

Honda original about £350 more fitted, bit of a large cost difference.

But thanks for your help & link.

I wonder if when you're buying new via the configuration it's subtracting the cost of the original wheels v buying the wheels outright.
Let's be careful out there !

The part number for the 16" accessory wheel is 08W16TZA600A

There are a few options to purchase on-line: @ £166.66

https://www.caraccessoriesplus.co.uk/product/honda-jazz-hybrid-16-alloy-wheel

Or perhaps that gives you some haggling room with your dealer.

Wish I had a set of alloys to refurbish!

Why not try mytyres.co.uk then select an alloy wheel package.
I've used the company for over 25 years they are good value & often can be had via Quidco for cashback.

I did here in Italy.
The price you have found is for one wheel, so you should multiply it by 4.
In EU the configurator automatically shows 1.200 EUR as list price.
I got mines for 800EUR.
It's anyway a strange price add-on because I was able to get this price and still keep the original wheels as well.
My plan was to have two complete wheel sets (winter tyres on standard alloy, and summer tyres on the upgraded ones).
Normally when you upgrade the wheels you don't get an extra set...

That's what I don't get.

These adverts are just one wheel. Unless you've already got a set why buy just one.

The Honda configuration page needs clarification.
Let's be careful out there !

It's because Honda Europe pre-defined and pre-ordered some months ago the specific EU trims from Japan, in order to deliver them quickly in the various countries.
So any optional is in fact added by the local dealer, hence you have to pay not only the single accessory item but also the hourly rates of the dealer...
Wheels are no exception here, they will not sell it as a trim upgrade but as an aftermarket second set. This means they're pricing it as single wheel, like other car manufacturers.

In my case this is good, because i wanted a second wheel set to be used with winter tyres.

Just make an example, I had a similar situation with my main car (Audi Q5 55TFSIe). The upgrade wheels, that in configurator costed 1.000 EUR (obviously removing the OEM wheels, like as always, so you're paying only the price delta) came up to cost 6.000 EUR if bought aftermarket. Luckily it wasn't me paying that...  ;D

Here they are.
I've switched the summer tyres on those rims, and mounted the winter tyres on the OEM ones.
Pics were taken under full sunshine so the wheels look more grayish than they actually are.

Darn it, my tyres.co.uk don’t ship to the Channel Islands/Jersey. Grr, part of the joy of living here!

Can you not get them sent to a friend/relative on the mainland and pick them up the first time you are across?
