Honda+ app - connection problem

Hi, Easy question, Did anyone mange to connect My Honda+ app to Jazz MK4? Do I need dongle which I plug in into OBD-II port? I do apologise If I doubled the topic, I couldn't find anything on this forum.

Yep, It looks like I need "The thing"  :-X But maybe someone has managed it different way ?

Your dealer needs to switch on the telemetry unit built into the vehicle.

Your dealer needs to switch on the telemetry unit built into the vehicle.
I reckon this is not free service, not in UK. Otherwise they would install it on every car. Anyone know the price if any?

Plenty of information on the Honda website.

Core connectivity is free for the first owner. Safety and journey package free for first year and the £29 after that.

No additional hardware needed it’s all imbedded in the car including the SIM card for the data connection, just needs to be activated by the dealer.

Thank you very much for your help and explanation, I’ve been on Honda website but it’s look like I didn’t look very well. There is a lot of information about it.

I’m about to write an e-mail to local dealer, but did actually anyone over here has activated this and has checked it all functions. Is it really worth hassle? e.g. Does Remote Climate Control works on Jazz as well or only Honda e ?

I've got the pre plus version of MyHonda in my Civic. It was offered free as part of an annual service some years ago.

It's OK for the odd bit of interest but I certainly wouldn't pay for it or run a subscription.

There's more discussion of the connectivity at https://clubjazz.org/forum/index.php?topic=12199.0. The remote climate control doesn't work with the Jazz.

Note that the clock starts on the free year when the vehicle is registered.

I was so excited by the prospect of the  Honda Plus app and features. But when I realised the hassle of getting it set up, the unreliability people were reporting, even the dealers not knowing how to make it work, I gave up on it. Besides, I really don’t need any other thing than Apple CarPlay. I discovered that Apple maps automatically marks where the car parks, and takes you straight to it from your phone. This was a life saver at Chessington world of adventures in the dark!

I'm anxiously waiting for lockdown to ease so I can visit the Dealership. Very frustrating that it is not automatically set up when car has it's PDI.

I’m trying to set up my Honda+ app, I think I must be thick lol as cannot work out the format of the password. Everything I put in gets rejected. Can someone give me a random example of the password format. Thanks

1a2b3c4d@AB

numbers, lowercase, uppercase and symbols.
