New Jazz owner in West Wales
« on: April 26, 2019, 08:00:48 PM »
Hi all,

Just bought a 2009 1.4 SE after a bit of research as we love the flat load area with the seats down for dogs etc.  Will need to look for a good solution to stop them coming through to the front!

Bought from a local independent who have done a great job removing scratches and a dent in the roof.  41k miles and full Honda history.

Lovely car.

I use the old dog rear seat cover from my previous car. The sort that hangs off the front and back headrests. I just let it go down to the floor and it blocks the gap between the front seats. Even for a cheeky little jack russel type I walk sometimes.

I did get rather carried away with the dog transport possibilities of my Jazz. See this post https://clubjazz.org/forum/index.php?topic=10916.msg68679#msg68679

Many thanks.

I have an old rear seat cover somewhere and some vinyl fabric.  I will experiment.

Good luck I'd be interested to know how you get on.

Well I discovered I had plenty of vinyl covered fabric in the workshop that was a perfect size to cover the load area with seats down, provide cover for the bumper and go up and slightly over the front seats.  This was held in place with a thin rope round the front headrests.  Room for two dog beds in the back over the vinyl fabric and then covered in a blanket.

Have had three golden retrievers on board this week with plenty of space and no chance of them trying to get through to the front.
