I cant give you a recommendation, but an alternative solution would be to get the part number off the ecu and look up secondhand ones on ebay, if the original cant be repaired. After fitting the ECU needs to be programmed with your vin and immobiliser, which a decent auto electrician would be able to do, as the security on these ones is not to restrictive. I watched a You tube video of someone doing this in the UK.
