Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Mk4 issues
« Last post by 5thcivic on October 03, 2024, 08:23:55 PM »Back to issues, 2nd service today (5 year paid for), just over 2000 miles, told them the passenger door mirror had started graunching on closing the day before! Car came back no service issues, just then phone call - can you pop in for an hour next week when the mirror will be changed under warranty? Can't complain about that.
I wonder if a brake simulator would be as easy?
While waiting I must remember to ask the service people if they have had many brake simulator failures and done under warranty. Might not be willing to talk to customers about such a "delicate" question? I will mention it will put me off other Hondas in the future if not addressed by higher management.

Honda Jazz Mk1 2002-2008 / Re: Ignition Key Won't Turn - Any ideas?
« Last post by wau5 on October 03, 2024, 07:28:14 PM »Fixed the Problem.
I took out the Ignition barrel ( it's a nightmare to do it), opened up the lock mechanism and saw some of the metal moving pieces were bent/mangled.
Removed the faulty stuff and all works now
I reckon My car ignition isn't as safe now and it can almost now be started with a screwdriver if someone really wanted to, but who cares for a 20year old Jazz
I reckon it would have been bloody expensive to tow it somewhere & get if fixed Properly with New Ignition barrel and new keys/locks.

Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - 2020 / Re: Garmin Maps Europe 2024 Available
« Last post by dayjavoo on October 03, 2024, 07:20:24 PM »Possibly Garmin may have tried harder to fix the Mk3 Jazz problem if they hadn't been replaced as a supplier of satnavs to Honda. As it is, several thousand Honda owners with their navigation equipment descending into premature obsolescence may be a source of quiet satisfaction.

In Car Entertainment / Connecting an Android Car device
« Last post by OskarQ on October 03, 2024, 07:05:17 PM »Hi,
I am recent new owner of a red Honda Jazz (2014 Mk2). I am really happy with the car and as I want to use it for a few years, thought about an upgrade to android/apple car.
I bought a Davilon Honda Jazz CarPlay Autoradio and managed to unplug the original radio without any hustle and also the new device fits nicely (although I will need to make a hole for the airbag light). However, I noticed that the plugs are completely different. As I have no knowledge of car electronics I am a bit lost: the thing I know is that probably I will need some kind of adapter, but which one?
I have this on the car side (I know one plug is for the emergency light and one for the airbag light):

and on the Autoradio I have this...:

I would appreciate any help.
