Given that Honda tend to use light grey undercoat I tend to go for a grey topcoat so chips don't stick out like a sore thumb and any touchup isn't required immediately.
Very poor choice of colours in my view. I wanted the grey interior which I am really happy with but that means grey or Moonbeam blue which looks almost black. I went for blue but wish it was a nice brifgt metallic blue.If you order from new you can choose any available interior colour for that model, the ones you quoted are the defaults
I would have liked a Yaris with a nice blue but not available on model I wanted.
Too much having to compromise with not enough thought as to what the customer wants.
Has anyone been able to have free choice on the EX grade paint/interior trim options, e.g. grey paint with the darker interior?

I did order from new and did not have any other choices available.
Here in Poland Honda offers the Jazz in 3 different white exterior colours: Taffeta White, Platinum White Pearl and Premium Sunlight White Pearl.
I've had light interiors before and they do turn grubby after years of use even with regular attention.
The 20 plate EX with grey interior I took out on test was starting to show signs of neglect which confirmed my choice of wanting black.
IIRC some grades allow a mix and match of colours (SR?) but the EX has fixed colour combinations.
As posted many times though, wd all have our own preferences and no one is 'right'.
I had DiamondBrite in and out on my 2007 Civic at £300.
I had no DiamondBrite on my 2009 Civic and after 3 years of each there was no difference.
Apart from I saved £300 :D

... On a dull day it looks like a pale grey with a hint of blueyness as it were
I’ve just driven in muddy country roads for a week in my platinum white - it’s actually quite good with dirt as it doesn’t look too bad when dirty. It does lose the platinum sparkle when dirty and just appears flat white.
The rear window/tailgate seems to be where most of the dirt accumulates but as I’d been washing it for a while with good shampoo beforehand it came off easily.
If I was regularly driving on those roads mudguards would help as the near side by the wheels also had quite a bit of mud spray.

That's where the Jazz indeed gets the dirtiest, apparently decent air vortices and drag behind the car. Inherent in a straight-back hatchback. We're lucky that Honda didn't forget to mount a wiper on the rear window. (https://www.toyotahybrideforum.nl/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)
Pity that the camera also catches quite a lot of water/dirt...
My wife was keen on the Midnight Blue scheme but I actually prefer white. I think the car looks dowdy in dark colours.

I've got the midnight blue (as per my avatar but that's a stock photo not my actual car). I think I know what you mean. On a bright day the metallic really pops but, on a dull day, most people think my car is black!
I do like a colour that can be seen in bad light conditionsRed is not a good colour in poor light; it looks grey. White or bright yellow is far better.
The platinum white pearl also looks flat white in normal light or when it’s a bit dirty.
It’s only in bright sunlight when clean that you can see the pearl metallic effect.
A flat white as a no cost option would have been better.
I had the choice of Black or wait until May. I paid extra for the shiny coating and am very happy with it. I also like the light grey interior its very uplifting. Our EX is Midnight Blue. It has the pale interior which is nice and bright. I bought some seat covers for when we are muddy after dog walking.
I have been looking at the Jazz colours on the Honda website configurator and I am a little disappointed. My personal preference is for a lighter colour and I was hoping for the light blue I saw on a Japanese video. I generally like metallic red but I am not sure about it on the Jazz, hopefully I will soon see one in the flesh. The grey colour looks OK but on the EX it comes with light coloured seat fabric and I wonder about the practicality of this. Currently white is at the top of my list and is quite acceptable to me although having had a white car for the past 3 years I was considering a change.
Greetings from NZ.
I’m getting a Premium Opal Pearl colour.
It was the same colour that I like in their showroom that made me decide.

After a month, rolled my car out of the dealership. The car was readily available but waited for the Rebate (NZD$4,140.00) for the NZ government to implement on 1st registered on April 1. Changed beforehand to platinum white instead.

I pick up my EX Style today... and it is the first 'dark' car I have ever owned. My trade in car was a Clio in Valencia orange!
To be honest, the choice of colours for the Jazz were quite disappointing. I have settled for Midnight beam, and it comes with black roof and trim. I have had a couple of Capturs that had black roof/trim, and they were ok. I know it will be a task to keep it looking clean especially with the approach of winter. I always use Autoglym Aqua, and its pretty good at repelling dirt.

We've got a black Mazda camper van and that combination of products keeps it looking tip top with very little effort.

Hi NZ, nice car there.
I could not make up my mind between Opal Pearl and platinum white, although i'm leaning toward platinum white. May i know why did you eventually pick platinum white over Opal Pearl?
Also, are those door visors? Looks good, any review whether to have them or not. Cant see clearly, but your did not have the tailgate install right?
What colour is your Mk4 Jazz?
Just taken delivery of new Hybrid Ev in Premium Crystal Red, looks great with black part leather interior.
Must say not that struck on Jazz colours on offer. What happened to that lovely blue of my Mk 2.
I went for the Premium Sunlight White Pearl as the best of a very limited choice. Not sure whether it is white, blue or grey - depends a lot on angle of viewing and what the sun is doing. One thing for sure is it doesn't show dirt up. I washed it yesterday (only so I could polish and Supaguard it) and I couldn't believe how dirty it was and yet it had looked reasonably clean. I've had pure white, black brown, silver, dark blue coloured cars in the past and all have shown up any dirt. This sunlight colour just doesn't seem to. Well pleased.Same colour here. I too am really surprised at how little the external dirt shows. Can't say the same for the interior though....
Fjord Mist looks really good. The choice of colours in available in the UK is very poor.
It is more greyish and metallic.Unfortunately the same goes for "Premium Sunlight White Pearl" which is more grey metallic than white.
Beg to differ. The Premium Sunlight White Pearl, is a Pearl Pigment paint, not a metallic paint which contains Aluminium flakes. A pearl pigment is a Titanium Dioxide coated Mica and shows a flip/flop colour change depending on the light and viewing angle. The Sunlight White Pearl, is very white, but the flip/flop effect changes between a cool blue and a golden sheen. Maybe you consider the blue sheen as grey.It is more greyish and metallic.Unfortunately the same goes for "Premium Sunlight White Pearl" which is more grey metallic than white.
...In certain light it looks more like a putty colour but not really grey.

(I was completely unaware of these details)

... and William S. already said: What's in a etc....Thank you for quoting the honourable bard!
