« on: December 08, 2022, 08:09:10 PM »
Went out to car this morning and noticed that 3 windows were partly open, front n/s, front o/s, rear o/s, wife parked up car yesterday afternoon nothing as usual, she dais she never touched the windows, it was freezing.
Wondered if anyone else had any quirk like this?.

You can use the key fob to open or close the windows. One short press followed by a longer press; the windows start to open until you release the button.
Did you hold both buttons to deactivate keyless entry? Maybe something went wrong causing the windows to open instead?

Ahh, that could be it, the keys are in the front door (inside), i quite possibly pressed the fob accidentally, not sure but that is an answer.
Thanks

Didn’t know that the fob did this until you mentioned it.

Al the comments here about touching the fob to open the windows are right. Only opening windows with the fob would cause that all 4 windows would be partly open, not 3...

I managed to press the right opening procedure with the key in my pocket this morning.  Not the best of mornings to let all the warmth escape for the onward stage of my journey!

When I put my fob in my pocket I always make sure my house key, also on the keyring, covers the buttons.
Let's be careful out there !

Happened to me a couple of times. Fob in jeans pocket, must have squished it while exiting vehicle. Always carry it in shirt/jacket/coat top pocket now.

...and then you bend over and... I have one of these keyrings, just for the keyfob.

The leather part over the buttons and then in this small bag:

Isn't this remote window function on the EX and Crosstar only and doesn't affect lower spec models ?
It will be alright in the end, if it's not alright then it's not the end !
