Accelerator pedal free play
« on: March 23, 2020, 07:32:05 PM »
Is the accelerator pedal supposed to have free play.
I'd guess mine has about 1/2 inch of movement before it adjusts engine speed.

Hi
I have no free play on my accelerator which is the direct cable type and not fly by wire.

Mine is a direct cable to but it connects to the fly by wire control on the throttle body.

Adjustment details here: http://www.hondafitjazz.com/manual/A00/HTML/07/SAA2E07A20336359411MBAT00.HTML

1/2 inch is max permissible.

Mine squeaks when I come off the accelerator pedal and squeaks when I put it pressure on gently

Try a little light oil on the pivot. Not WD40.
