phone holder for dashboard
« on: August 24, 2019, 05:20:02 PM »
Does anyone know of a phone holder that will sucker itself to the dashboard and not the window? I find the gps function much more useful with the visual display of roads enabled.

Not what you asked for, but how about one of these? I've got something similar for my satnav.

Don't think you'll get a sucker to stick to dash. It's not smooth enough.

Is this any good with the vents on the mk2 jazz though? As i find the vents quite useless with most mobile vent holders.  :(

Funny you should ask that, because I've just fitted one of these ......

I tried a few locations and settled for this......once set in position it doesn't move, and if you put it close to the top edge of the lip above the central vents as I have it will fit a phone as big as an I phone 8 plus in both horizontal and vertical positions without interfering with the vents.

Click the link below and look at the last photo to see it in place - hope this helps.

Don't know about that particular one but the adaptor that I use works fine with the Mk 2 Jazz.
Tried to post link to this utube site but link didn't work.

I bought one of these as recommended by another member on the forum: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32902184643.html

I bought the vent one, and it fits nicely in the MK2 Jazz vents.
It's magnetic, so you stick a metal pad to the back of your phone and it's as simple as that.

One thing I will mention, if you use wireless charging on your phone, make sure you don't place the metal plate over where the wireless charging coil is on the underside of the phone, otherwise you can't use wireless charging.

I have a Samsung Note 8, and I cut the metal plate in half, and stuck it just below the rear cameras, and the magnet works fine with the car mount, and I can also use wireless charging, so win win :).

I use a CD slot holder for my phone or sat nav, just slides into CD slot Tighten up the screw knob and hey presto it is very secure does not vibrate. I do not use the  CD player anyway so no loss to me at all.
There are a great many to choose from on Amazon etc.
I used to stick them on my Useless Infotainment screen   but since using  this gadget I am more than Satisfied.
I have posted a photo of this elsewhere on the site fairly recently.
I would say choose carefully there are many choices.

I have one that takes Iphone 7 Plus search the options.

Hi, we have one of these stuck on the dashboard. It adheres really well & then you can use any ‘window’ mount on your dashboard.
