I have a EX 2018 jazz without sat nav. I use my phone but wondered if the software is already in the car and just needs to be activated? or maybe it missing gps module? No big deal, just wondered. Thanks.

Pure guesswork here, but I don't think Honda will have made it easy to do what you're asking. They charge a premium for the Navi version, which wouldn't be viable if it was easy to upgrade from non-Navi after purchase.

You have the hardware, the gps module with aerial, without the software.
If your firmware is RC6.1 or earlier, you can install an android app such as Copilot, Waze or Sygic.
