I-shift not enagaing on A1
« on: February 16, 2022, 06:23:01 PM »
Two yrs ago I had the clutch actuator repaired as it had the warning light. I normally put the gear in to N when I apply the handbrake at traffic light. Today, as I engage to A1 amd release the handbrake, the car wouldn't move. The A1 wasn't flashing. It took me at least two attempts to get it going again. After switching it off at my mum's house, it now wouldn't engage at all! However the Reverse seens to be working.

Has any one had this issue before?

This is an obvious question but are you putting your foot on the brake pedal when you select 'A' ?

Yes I did Vic. I thought it was a switch on the brake itself but it engage to Reverse ok so must be the actuator.

A quick update. This time it was the gear actuator that failed. Again Daniel from Northampton save the day. Now car is working fine.
