New EX Trim Level Announced.. Jazz e:HEV EX Style from £24,845
« on: November 11, 2021, 08:53:03 PM »
Differences between normal EX grade and this new model seem to be:

- Whiplash lessening front headrests
- Cargo net hook
- Deletion of rear seat armrest (so normal EX is better)
- Spoiler
- Contrasting black roof
- Black mirror caps
- Black side garnishes
- 16" alloys with different wheel design

IMHO, seems like alot for not much more...

The UK spec EX didn't have a rear seat armrest.

I don't know if and how the specs differ per country, but our Polish EX(ecutive as it is named here) has:

- Whiplash lessening front headrests
- Cargo net hook (but no net...  :()
- No rear seat armrest (so normal EX is nothing better  :()

and no spoiler, contrasting black roof or side garnishes and the mirror caps are not black but "silver" plastic.

However, the spoiler, side garnishes and 16" alloys are available as accessories.

If nothing goes right, go left!

Just seems like a regular EX with some pointless bling nailed on.

Nothing you couldn’t add later if you wanted to (the black is easily done with a wrap), and at lower cost as you could just pick the specific options you wanted.

Not sure why they are promoting this, it doesn’t add anything special.

TBH, you get better value specifying EX trim with a body pack (such as Tuscan Orange) for ₤865. Granted, the two-tone roof isn't an option, but I think it looks attractive too. And with those packs you get front / rear garnishes as well as the sides. Much better value!

I think it is all about external appearance. The wheels on the Jazz EX do not look like alloys but the EX Style does have the sort of wheels most people would expect on a new car. At nearly £25 K though it is seriously expensive so not sure how well it will sell.

Yeah, they'd sell more if they put the EX Style wheels on the standard EX. As the car goes through it's normal life-cycle extra kit is added anyway. So I'd expect to see the EX Style become the EX in 2 years time. Perhaps that will mean a price hike too, but throwing in a few goodies like wireless charging (which is available in Japan) and you have an extremely well-specced vehicle. For me it's a weird addition and, as you say, at nearly 25K expensive!
