Post-pandemic car insurance
« on: August 06, 2021, 09:41:06 AM »
I have just received my insurance renewal quote from LV and I am delighted to find it has fallen by 11% to £356.  Is this a result of lower mileages in the pandemic? A comparison quote from RIAS is £400, so I’ll stick with LV.

Just switched from Admiral to LV, saving over £150!
Usually pay monthly but this time paid the lot. £200 - very happy.
Had to change from Jazz SE 2006 to my 2018 EX in March and Admiral raised the premium from £20 to £32 monthly so they’re out.

LV are bucking the trend with car insurance prices.

A friend was quoted almost £1k. He thought that was normal as he's 83.

This is what he posted back :

Quote
Well that was all very easy, managed to get identical cover and cut the price from £937.29 (all but £100 increase on last year) to £376.89. A great saving of £560.40. Better in my pocket than theirs.

In fact slightly better cover, excess is £250, rather than £300.

Thanks for your suggestion of LV.
Let's be careful out there !
