Just noticed on my new EX that the front passenger side does not have the 2 clip down studs that are fixed to the floor so that the mat doesn’t move.It looks like they should be there because there are marks on the floor.
The drivers side is ok with the clips in place same as the mark 3.
Just wondering if my floor fixings on the passenger side are missing or are all EX models the same.?

Studs are required on drivers side so mats don't move and get trapped under pedals.
Doesn't matter if the mats move on passenger side.
Cut-outs in carpet on both sides makes them universal and are for left or right hand drive models.
Mine has both-cut outs but I only have clips on the driver's side
Cost saving exercise I would think.

The Honda front mat set includes the two plastic clips for the passenger side, at least on my rubber mat set. You have to cut out a small square in the carpet around the existing slits in the carpet using a Stanley knife. Instructions were not supplied with the Honda front rubber mat set I purchased but the vendor emailed me the installation PDF document. The rear rubber mat set also requires you to cut away some rubber on one side, as the driver’s seat lower seat belt anchor housing is a different shape to the passenger side and this would swap to the other front seat on left hand drive vehicles, allowing one rear mat set to be manufactured for use in both left and right hand drive vehicles.

My mats were not Honda originals and didn't have extra clips.
I suppose you get what you pay for !

If passenger side moves around, then maybe using the barbed side of wide Velcro tape would help.
The Honda ones are not that premium, they are fairly thin and short pile.
So apart from the clips, your after market ones may be more luxurious..

Our EX has the driver mat and passenger mat with the clips on both sides. :D

There are two different types of official carpet mats available according to my dealer - standard and what they call elegance.
There’s £40 difference in cost but they look quite similar.
The pictures on the website show fixing attachments on both sets for both passenger and driver side.

My passenger mat is clipped in. They ordered the Premium pack by mistake so I got it free.
The Premium Pack includes a range of practical and stylish options specifically designed for the Jazz. The pack includes: Elegance Floor Mats, Side Body Trims, Doorstep Garnishes, Bumper Step Protector and Front and Rear Mud Guards.
