Title: Dim Sidelights
Post by: fashionphotography on September 13, 2021, 03:50:11 PM
2007 jazz 1.4 when i first  got this car i noticed the front sidelights although covered with the plastic cowel were very  dim.. but even after changing all the bulbs pre winter measure and replaced the front sidelight bulbs with LED bulbs they still appear even with a white light quiet dim compared to other cars.. anyone else noticed this

Absolutely. The original filament bulbs were useless. When I had one go I replaced both with LEDs, a lot whiter but still pretty dim. I'm on a second, brighter set of LEDs now and they're... adequate.
These are they https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/393103798767 (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/393103798767) for what it's worth. I see it doesn't actually quote the power.

i got these ones .. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/372653482370 only thing is the plastic inserts where they go in to the holder are a tad wider so need a bit of pushing in gently

I have LED sidelights from Classic Car LED's and find them bright enough & their H4's are fantastic.

Do you find that yours sit at a funny angle? Mine sort of slant towards the outside of the car, perhaps I haven't got them seated correctly but both sides are the same.  A right pain in the arse to get to.

Ah, that's good to know. I was getting really frustrated trying to put them in straight. I gave up after about the eighth attempt!
