I have just given up driving because I had a stroke. I was considering it because I was finding more difficult to get in and out of the car then the decision was made for me. I am 85.

That is terrible, Vic. I don't drive very much at all these days (only 3,000 miles in the last 12 months) and I really miss it.
I took a driver assessment when I turned 70 and I am ready for another. My future son-in-law is training as an ADI so he is going to take me out and check out I am safe to keep driving.

That's sad to hear Vic, I'm sure everyone on the forum wishes you all the best.

Not sure when I'd give up driving but I said to my daughter if my driving deteriorates please tell me.
She replied don't you worry dad I will.
