Idle stop fault
« on: April 01, 2023, 10:28:15 AM »
Greetings all,
Jazz 2016 developed a fault with idle stop - the amber A sign is constantly blinking and check system message is on. The system was never actually used, so any idea how can I disconnect it permanently? I will happily take any troubleshooting advice as ODBC reader doesn't return anything (but that might be the reader compatibility issue) and the car has new battery fitted.
Thanks in advance.

Does the warning sign still show if you turn off the system with the button by the gear selector?

The button doesn't do anything. You can scroll the message, but the light just keeps flashing.

There is a Honda service bulletin covering this for the Civic 2018-2021 which requires a software update, ref SU-10-013-00 issued 24/11/2020.

I wonder if this also affects the Jazz MK3 - worth a mention to dealer.

As usual only applied on "customer complaint"

It'd be fun to know what service bulletins there are for Jazz...

So had the car tested, faulty boost pressure sensor. Replaced and fault message is gone.

Faulty boost pressure sensor???

I'm familiar with those on a turbocharged car, but not on a Jazz.

Good point and my bad- no idea why did I say boost sensor.  :-[  On Jazz MAF was replaced. The odd thing was the engine light wasn't on, but just idles stop fault.
