Just for info FWIW, I usually use "dowty" washers (bonded seals) as replacements for sump plug washers where convenient. Occasionally they sit in counterbores for example and won't fit so you need to use the original type.
They are typically used on hydraulic fittings and use nitrile/NBR or occasionally viton seals, both fine for sump plugs. They can usually be re-used several times as long as the seal doesn't tear.
I stocked up with a wide selection to cover most eventualities. They usually have a centralising lip which is a smaller size than the main seal diameter in order to hold the seal away from any fillet radius on the plug. Plenty available on the auction site, this example has a diagram showing the relevant dimensions

As an example, 10 pack of M14 mild steel/nitrile washers costs around £3-50.
